Description sbagnak 2010-10-31 08:35:57 UTC
System Monitor Applet does not want to show disk activity from "lvm on raid 1" on ubuntu 8.10 x64 so as on 10.10 x64

system-monitor applet does not work at all for any lvm filesystems. It only reports activity for me in the extremely rare case when the /boot slice is being read/written. This is a very long-standing bug that needs much higher priority due to its very high visibility.

Is anyone working on this? There are several uncorrected bug reports that are becoming very old due to no activity on the project.

Reassigning to the gnome-applets products multiload component, as system monitor does not track disk activity, and does not have a panel applet, system monitoring in the GNOME panel is handled by the multiload applet.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-applets/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
