Description Omer Akram 2010-10-30 18:40:01 UTC
"After linking two contacts, I am unable to unlink them. Right-clicking the metacontact, then clicking "Link contacts...", then "Unlink..." in the Link Contacts window, then "Unlink" in the confirmation window gives no notice that the unlinking was unsuccessful, but the contacts remains linked."

Can you please provide your ~/.local/share/folks/relationships.ini file, plus the IDs and alias of the personas (contacts) which can't be unlinked.

If relationships.ini contains personal information, you can e-mail it to philip.withnall@collabora.co.uk instead.

Are the personas unlinked after you restart Empathy?
Comment 2 topdownjimmy 2010-10-30 20:21:08 UTC
relationships.ini appears to be empty.

The contacts remain linked after restarting.
Comment 3 Philip Withnall 2010-10-30 20:54:10 UTC
Sounds like the contacts are implicitly linked. Are the contacts the same ID as viewed from two accounts (e.g. you've got two Jabber accounts, and both have a given contact in them)? In that case, they're implicitly linked (by design), and this is a duplicate of bug #629537.

What version of libfolks are you using?

Thanks.
Comment 4 topdownjimmy 2010-10-31 19:29:47 UTC
Thanks Philip, what you suggested is absolutely right -- they're being implicitly linked.
Comment 5 Philip Withnall 2010-11-01 00:01:08 UTC
Duplicate of bug #629537 then.
