Description John Baab 2010-10-28 18:28:04 UTC
Adding a bitrate or changing the quality to the gstreamer pipeline is ignored. All resulting .ogg files are 160kbps no matter the settings. I have tried to delete the rhythmbox gdata as well as re-created the profile and modified the existing ogg profile. All attempts result in the same results. I have seen this on multiple computers all updated from lucid to maverick.

I have confirmed this is not a gstreamer issue by testing the same profile with Sound Juicer and it behaves as expected.

So what are the steps to reproduce this?
Comment 2 John Baab 2010-10-29 15:43:28 UTC
Sorry thought it was clear enough.

Insert a CD, rip as CD Quality, Lossy (ogg type). When done check the files have a bit-rate of 160kbps.

Now modify CD Quality, Lossy (ogg type), change the quality in the gstreamer pipeline. Re-rip the CD and notice that the bit-rate has not changed.

As far as I can tell this works with the new profile system.
