Description William Jon McCann 2010-10-27 22:22:59 UTC
The GNOME notification servers (gnome-shell and notification-daemon >= 0.6.0)
support notification persistence. This means that notification bubbles won't
be transient and require backing with a status icon. We can drop use of status
icons in these cases.

Apparently g-u-s shows a status icon when you're receiving a file over OBEX PUSH, the icon will stay as long as the notification is visible. We should switch this to just use a notification.

[Removing GNOME3.0 target as decided in release-team meeting on March 03, 2011. "nice-to-have" categorisation for GNOME3.0]

    obex: Remove the status icon

    The Bluetooth icon will already show up when a transfer is on-going
    so we don't need an extra icon showing up in a place where we
    wouldn't look.
