they have bumped their version number from 0.10 to 1.0.

Unfortunately you can't simply change configure.ac and ask for newer clutter-gtk-1.0.pc.

In fact clutter-gtk 0.9x is the GTK+ 3 port

Cheese is using the gtk3 bindings (clutter-gtk-1.0) now, so this bug can be closed.
