Description Jason Clinton 2010-10-20 02:52:54 UTC
Hi, I am writing on behalf of the marketing team.

LWN has offered advertising space and a subscription for new subscribers to promote the Friends of GNOME program. We would like a way to track referrals from LWN that result in new Friends of GNOME and LWN subscribers.

Probably, just tracking LWN.org referrals through the sign-up phase in a hidden form element would be sufficient.

We would had this data off to LWN somehow so that they could activate the subscriber's LWN subscription.

If it's not too much more trouble, a way to embed the referrer from any location in the form would also help. If we need to use a custom URL for that, that would be fine.

The lwn website is lwn.net rather than lwn.org.

Could you move this to the right component? It is currently under mailman, and that seems a bit strange to me.

hm. I don't understand what it actually is that you want to achieve. Can you elaborate?
