Description Alex Lancaster 2010-10-16 04:54:01 UTC
In rhythmbox 0.12.x when a CD that was found on MusicBrainz was ripped, it added the musicbrainz ID to the mp3 file. This is no longer the case with 0.13.1.

This may, of course, be an issue with the gstreamer backend, not in rhythmbox itself.

# rpm -q rhythmbox gstreamer gstreamer-plugins-base gstreamer-plugins-good gstreamer-plugins-bad
rhythmbox-0.13.1-1.fc14.x86_64
gstreamer-0.10.30-1.fc14.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.30-2.fc14.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.25-1.fc14.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-bad-0.10.20-1.fc14.x86_64

the specific CD that rhythmbox identified via MusicBrainz and I subsequently ripped is:

http://musicbrainz.org/release/b150ee71-3781-428c-a1db-2171b26e55d3.html

but the resulting mp3 file no longer includes "musicbrainz_trackid", nor musicbrainz_{releaseid,artistid} as it once did.
