mkv file that contains an audio stream of 2 channels then 6

Hi,

I directly put a raw audio stream into a mkv file using matroskamux.

When playing the result file, matroskademux does not detect the change of the number of channels.

See the 2 attached files.

The 6 channels are hearable but when switching to 2 channels, matroskademux does not detect the change, so the final is not hearable.

I do know who is the responsible between matroskamux and matroskademux

Matroska simply doesn't support changing the channel configuration or other things in the middle of a stream.

ok thx that's pretty clear :P.

Do you know a container, in gstreamer, that supports it ?

I don't know one, sorry
