GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 631020
Permanently change default setting for new notes in annotations
Last modified: 2018-05-22 14:01:06 UTC
I am using Evince 2.33.0. Although there is a way to change the default annotation properties for a given note, I was wondering if it could be made possible to change the default annotation properties for all new notes. For example, if I want all my notes to be have the circle as the icon, I would like to not have to change the icon setting for every note I create. Just change it once, and have all notes from that point on have the circle icon.
Well, current default properties are the default values specified in the PDF spec. Maybe we could remember the last annot properties per session instead of permanently, I'm not sure.
Remembering the last properties per session would be perfect. That's kind of what I was asking for (permanent for the session).

I'd rather vote for remembering the last properties permanently, with maybe an option to reset to the PDF spec default. Or alternatively, don't remember them by default, only when a box or button is checked or pressed. I'm pretty sure Acrobat Pro, PDF-Xchange, and Foxit all have an option to remember properties permanently across sessions.
