This is a blocker to remove gnome-python-desktop module, because we can use PyGObject instead to access libgtop.

It looks reasonable to me. Does libgtop have any active maintainers ?
If not, maybe we can get the new gnome-system-monitor maintainer to look this over, commit and get a release ?
