GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 630840
banshee not correctly syncing to iPod
Last modified: 2010-09-29 07:59:56 UTC
As requested, I'm filing a bug report. I'm using version 1.7.6, and when I try to automatically or manually sync my music to my 80GB classic, it goes through all the motions and finally says it's syncing with the ipod. After it's finished I disconnect the device and the ipod says that there is no music installed on the device. I've ran it with --debug option and it only tells me that everything worked and went fine. I've included the banshee.log with this report.
The log is missing unfortunately. Also can you please follow the instructions here to ensure that Alan has all the information he needs initially? http://live.gnome.org/Banshee/LibgpodTransition

My apologies. I'm attaching it again. Hopefully it'll be included this time. The device is a black 4th generation 80gb iPod classic. Model number MB147LL Final 3 digits of the serial are YMV The firmware is at 1.1.2 PC I've also attached the udevadm file and the gvfs-mount file.

Ah, I see the problem. The debug log is 3.9mb in size and I'm not able to attach it. Would you rather me split it into parts or try to post it as a comment or something else?
If you could compress it that'd be perfect. Otherwise you'll have to use your best judgement to see what looks relevant. If there are hundreds of lines of repeated exceptions then a sample of a few of them may be enough for us.

This bug has already been fixed in git master and 1.8.0 will work fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 629838 ***
