I cannot reproduce this. Please provide full details (enter what in which cells, select what, paste where -- etc.)
Processor i686 Red Hat Linux 7.1 (Seawolf) Linux 2.4.2-2 I enter text/number in any set of squares and then I want to copy those squares to another location. I hightlight the squares and then relocate the mouse to a new place on the sheet and then click the center mouse button. The program freezes and crashes. Does this help? I have no idea why 0.67 would be crashing for that, and can not replicate that behavior. My best guess is that RedHat 7.1 had a few instabilities associated with the version of glibc that came with it. It is a shot in the dark, but you could try looking for updates. However, the good news is that there is an easier way to solve the problem. Cut/Copy/Paste in Gnumeric behave the same way they do inside MS Excel (tm). 1) Select the region you want to cut/copy. 2) Cut/Copy them via the keyboard (Ctrl-{x,c}), the toolbar or the menus. 3) Select either the entire region you want to paste into, or just the top left corner 4) Paste, again via keyboard (ctrl-v), toolbar or menu. NOTE : We emulate XL's cut behavior too. This means that it is really more of a 'move' than a cut. The source content is not cleared until you paste.
