GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 630705
crash: pipeline.py:267:setState:PipelineError: Failure changing state of the gst.Pipeline
Last modified: 2014-04-22 23:24:54 UTC
This bug is reported by many users in Fedora https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=598061 It appears that dragging any clip to the timeline, or editing the clip causes this issue.
Hi, this is possibly fixed in 0.13.5. Can the Fedora packages be updated?
Confirmed as per numerous reports on launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pitivi/+bug/617487
Created attachment 181378 [details] Debug log, see in the comment the command line I used. I also get this error with the current Pitivi. This is how to reproduce it: Preparation: - Create a new project, import a svg and a video file. - Add the svg at the beginning of the timeline (1s), then after it add a 1s break, then add the video clip (1s). Rendering this project should result in a 3s video. - Save the project. Close Pitivi. 1. Render the project from the command line, notice an exception is raised and then the application hangs. GST_DEBUG=3,gnl*:5,python:5 PITIVI_DEBUG=5 bin/pitivi -r svg.ogv svg.xptv > debug.log 2>&1
Hi there, As Pitivi 0.91 has now been released, we would like to encourage you to test it. It is quite possible that your issue is fixed in this version, as it is a very significant technical overhaul compared to the 0.15 series. Read more about the 0.91 release here: http://wiki.pitivi.org/wiki/0.91 If you can reproduce this bug against 0.91 or newer (such as the git version), please update this bug report accordingly with detailed instructions to reproduce the bug, updated sample files/projects in xges format, etc. Drop by our IRC channel if you need help getting started or want to help out! Thanks!
