Description Jakob van Bethlehem 2010-09-24 09:42:32 UTC
In order to move around more quickly over different workspaces it may be nice to be able to move 'periodically' - so to have some torus-like topology. In other words. Suppose you have 6 workspaces, all aligned on a single row:

 W1 - W2 - W3 - W4 - W5 - W6

My suggestion would be to move to 'W1' when I'm on 'W6' and trying to move -right-. Right now this will just do nothing.

The same for 6 workspace aligned in eg 2 rows:

  W1 - W3 - W5
  W2 - W4 - W6

Suppose I'm on 'W1':
 - moving right, would take me to 'W3'
 - moving down would take me to 'W2'
 - moving left would take me to 'W5'
 - moving up would take me to 'W2'

When you have only few workspaces, this wouldn't be a big difference, but already when you have 4 or more workspaces, which you have aligned in a row, this makes moving around these workspaces more flexible.
