Classical music will more naturally have data in Composer field and Artist suggesting the players not the Composer. The search filter then doesn't catch Composer data where it should do - especially when that field is displayed already.

By default, Banshee will only search through the Track, Artist, and Album fields, but Banshee's search is powerful and allows for very focused searches.  For example, in your case you could search for composer:Stravinsky to find all of the tracks in your library that contain "Stravinsky" as the composer.

For more information about searching in Banshee, see: http://banshee.fm/support/guide/searching/  The documentation didn't mention searching for composer, but I made sure it worked (at least in 1.7.x) and updated the page.
