sample tiff

in ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and 10.10 beta with compiz effects on
evince hangs when opening or manipulating some tiffs
while evince hangs /usr/bin/X does 100% CPU consumption
Comment 1 José Aliste 2010-09-17 16:40:56 UTC
Thanks for reporting. However, I can't reproduce on my machine, Does the hang happens alwayws with the attached file? Which version of evince are you using on 10.04.01 and on 10.10beta?
Comment 2 badfiles 2010-09-17 20:43:50 UTC
It sure does.
2.32.92
I am not sure it's evince bug, it might be just in the way evince displays data.
f-spot allows moving the window and scale the file, and nothing hangs.

When I do same things in evince, it hangs, but for a second or two. while hanging you know what happens. Even menus stop fading.

I face this bug since ubuntu 10.04 beta, on two hardware-different machines (both with ati graphics, community drivers)

Turning compiz off solves the problem.

Any progress with this bug?

Also rotating such tiffs is buggy.

Both provided samples are displayed instantaneously with evince 3.6 on ubuntu 12.10. I would consider this bug already fixed.

I set it NEEDINFO waiting for reporter to test again on recent version of the distro/evince.

badfiles@mail.ru, the attachment you provided works well for me on a F17 machine. I presume this is OBSOLETE. Please reopen if this is still an issue.
