GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 629688
top panel cannot be resized to 22px due to 'menu bar'
Last modified: 2010-09-15 16:12:19 UTC
This report is originally filled at: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/550359 Thanks to the new themes and the indicators that now we can resize the panels to lower size which look great. the bottom panel can be resized to 21px and the top panel does not resize below 24px (top panel look giant) but If you simply remove the menu bar you can go 22px and the panels look awesome. so would be great if the menu bar was resizeable.
the solution would be that the distro logo on the Main Menu should be resize able. so that the panel can shrink
I think, I dont know if a pixel size is controller by gnome-panel or by theme... hmmm ¡?
The size of the icon can be changed in the theme. I think it's "panel-foobar". Can someone try this?
@vuntz yes it worked thanks alot. in the Ambiance theme's gtkrc -gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=22,22:gtk-button=16,16" +gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-foobar=22,22:panel-menu=22,22:gtk-button=16,16"
So there's no bug.
Thanks!
