Wireshark dump with coherence

I tried to use Rygel to serve content for a Galaxy S, but besides the "$username's media" itself, I don't see anything listed within.

Attached are wireshark traces from both Rygel & Coherence (coherence works fine).

From the wireshark log it seems that the client doesn't like the device description as is the issue with many other devices. I pushed some fixes recently in that regard and release 0.7.8 contains those fixes so please try that out.

Wireshark dump with rygel v2

Still the same issue with rygel 0.7.8, attaching new dump.
Comment 4 Zeeshan Ali 2010-09-14 16:31:45 UTC
Forgot to tell that you want to remove all files under '~/.config/Rygel' and restart rygel after installing the new rygel.
Comment 5 Michal Hruby 2010-09-14 22:31:00 UTC
Same after removing the entire config dir.

Damn. If its not too much to ask, could you please provide a fresh wireshark log?

Thanks, now I at least know that I didn't exactly fix one of the issues: Use of dos format rather than Unix in XML files.

I'm marking it as duplicate of OPPO bug for now. Please follow the progress of that bug.

Does fixes for bug#626196 solves the problem for you as well?
Comment 11 Michal Hruby 2010-10-09 20:45:50 UTC
I just tried with rygel 0.8.0 and there's still the same issue.

Too bad. Just to be sure, you did remember to follow the instruction in comment#4?
Comment 13 Michal Hruby 2010-10-09 23:46:49 UTC
Yes, I removed all the files.

Michal Hruby, were you able to test patch attached in comment#15 ?
Comment 17 Michal Hruby 2011-06-15 06:55:01 UTC
@Akhil: Sorry, no, I was waiting for it to become part of an official release.
Comment 18 Jens Georg 2011-06-15 07:24:21 UTC
Hm, would be a bit pointless to include it without knowing if it works.
Comment 19 Jens Georg 2011-07-02 10:43:25 UTC
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/rygel-list/2011-July/msg00000.html indicates that this is fixed with rygel 0.11.1 and its updated dependencies.
Comment 20 Jens Georg 2011-07-27 10:33:35 UTC
No, that patch doesn't fix it and also comment 19 doesn't fix it. I have it working locally now, need to figure out what exactly is the problem.
Comment 21 Jens Georg 2011-07-27 10:56:28 UTC
