Description WLigtenberg 2010-09-09 18:51:13 UTC
Adding the following PNG image into the timeline breaks the video.

http://ubuntuone.com/p/FXH/

(And yes this was/is for a family video :) )
Comment 1 Edward Hervey 2010-09-09 18:59:49 UTC
Confirmed with git pitivi/gstreamer/everything.

Seems to be related to the size of the image.
Comment 2 Edward Hervey 2010-09-09 19:00:14 UTC
Oh, and it works fine with jpeg at any size.
Comment 3 Edward Hervey 2010-09-13 05:49:51 UTC
this was due to a bug in the alphacolor element, which was fixed in the following commit in gst-plugins-good:

commit 51c9ad02336754eefc88f82ca02e0246d82fca70
Author: Alessandro Decina <alessandro.decina@collabora.co.uk>
Date: Fri Sep 10 11:35:58 2010 +0200

    alphacolor: make passthrough work.

The fix has been integrated in latest lucid/maverick PPA packages as well as latest official maverick package.

This bug should only be closed for the version of pitivi that will depend on -good 0.10.26

*** Bug 617130 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 5 kxra 2010-12-04 03:25:36 UTC
If bug 629872 is also a duplicate, i still have this problem with the latest PPA packages.
