Description Alan Hennessy 2010-09-06 01:17:34 UTC
Clicking on an internet link in a mail message results in the error message "Cannot open link" with the explanation "No application is registered as handling this file". Re-installation does not solve the problem. settings for default programs appear correct. links elsewhere work correctly.

This is a misconfiguration on your local system. Check that you've set your preferred web browser under System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications and that the GVFS daemon (gvfsd) is running.

This is in windows not linux. The preferences are set properly, for example the internet links in Thunderbird work just fine.
