GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 628621
Facebook Contacts do not show up
Last modified: 2010-11-29 13:13:25 UTC
This bug was originally reported on Launchpad: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/540325 From downstream bug: None of my online contacts in Facebook appear in Empathy. Status says it is connected and "Online", but none of my friends show up in the window as being online (or offline for that matter). Nothing from Facebook shows.

No problem here with Empathy 2.30.2-1 and telepathy-gabble 0.9.15-1 as well as Empathy git (> 2.31.91). I'm closing this since it was filed against Empathy 2.29.92 (in Launchpad). Please re-open if you can reproduce this with a non-development version (ie, >= 2.30.0).

Travis, if you read the comments, you'll see 2 comments written in 2010-06-05 and 2010-06-07 that state this is still a problem on empathy 2.30 (the version in Ubuntu Lucid).
There won't be any more releases in the 2.30.x series, and the code that handles this has changed quite a bit in the 2.32.x series. Could you (or someone who filed the original bug in launchpad) please reproduce this with Empathy 2.32.0 and Folks 0.2.0?
