Description Vish 2010-09-01 20:10:20 UTC
Bug first reported in lp :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution/+bug/611490

Evolution does not display HTML e-mails correctly from my GMail account. For example, images do not appear in the correct places. In Thunderbird and the GMail website, HTML e-mails appear correctly, suggesting that this is a bug in Evolution. I do not know whether this only applies to GMail accounts or whether it affects others.

The HTML in the email is probably using CSS, which GtkHtml doesn't understand.

There are no plans to fix GtkHtml, but we do plan to switch Evolution to WebKit/GTK+ in the foreseeable future.
