Description Mohamed Amine Il Idrissi 2010-09-01 15:47:37 UTC
This bug was originally reported on Launchpad: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/610899

From the downstream bug:
'Trying to receive a file transfer from Empathy 2.30.2, Empathy 2.30.2 reports: "Error receiving "his_filename" from <his_nick>; Error while trying to transfer the file." The progress bar freezes at 64%. The same is true in the reverse direction. File transfer via Pidgin works all right, though.'

As for myself, I experience a similar issue, at the exception that the file transfer doesn't even start - it keeps getting stuck at 0% without an error message.

Probably a telepathy-gabble issue. Please report on bugs.Freedesktop.org and attach gabble logs.
