The webkit dependency should be made optional. Patch against 1.7.4 can be found at:

git-formatted version of Gentoo's make-webkit-optional patch

In the hopes that it might speed this along, I've attached Arun's patch with git formatting, ready to `git am` onto master :)

In case anyone is curious as to the utility of this patch, it helps keep the dependency tree down when some features won't be needed. No since in building webkit-gtk, etc. if the Amazon MP3 store won't be used or Wikipedia articles are irrelevant.

Sorry it took so long, I missed this bug report, and I thought we already had a --disable-webkit option, because it was mentioned in our README...
