When evolution is in an IDLE command and is closed instead of sending a DONE and then any other commands it skips DONE.

On some mail servers like dovecot this results in a BAD server response

BAD Expected DONE.

Evolution's other finishing commands are acknowledged, but evolution will hang, probably waiting for the completion of the IDLE command.

I would guess this got fixed within this commit [1] in evolution-data-server, though not completely, as is discussed in bug #620609. I'm marking this as a duplicate of it, because David indicated there that this should be fixed. Actually, with "this" I hope we follow the same thing, because without actual backtrace it's just plain guessing.
