GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 628440
Feature Request: PDF Advanced Export Options
Last modified: 2018-07-16 10:14:34 UTC
When exporting PDFs, there are certain options that can be marked and are picked up by Adobe Acrobat Reader. The biggest of these options are the default zoom factor and also the security items which enable/disable features such as copy and paste and printing. The OpenOffice export to PDF dialog is a good place to look for the more common attributes.
Other options interesting could be : - Add PDF 1.7 format support - Leave user the ability (box to check) to automatically propose same name for saving file as the Title field of Properties if this one is filled. Ex: I open a document names File1.pdf, delete some pages, add others, define bookmarks, click on Properties Button, put "Book" as Title and my name as author. Then when I click on Save, I'd like that default name proposed is not again "File1" but "Book".
pdfmod is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes in 2011. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/pdfmod/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
