Description Paul Livingston 2010-08-27 17:13:02 UTC
unable to add or delete workspaces using the window switcher applet while running compiz/emerald. Help for window switcher states the following:
"To add workspaces to the GNOME Desktop, right-click on the Workspace Switcher applet, then choose Preferences. The Workspace Switcher Preferences dialog
is displayed. Use the Number of workspaces spin box to
specify the number of workspaces that you require."

No spin box appears when the preferences window for window switcher is invoked and changes to the number of using gconf-editor have no effect. Compiz Config Settings Manager can be used to change the number of workspaces (hard learned lesson), but the normal and documented method of using the window switcher applet does not work.

uname -a output:
Linux kodiak 2.6.33.8-149.fc13.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Aug 17 22:53:15 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
