Running apps:
As far as I can see there's no way to select neither a workspace nor an app in the overview mode with the keyboard. This would however greatly improve usability especially on laptops.

Launch a new app:
Also, one can only select an app from the list on the left by moving down with the "down-arrow-key" if a search text has been entered. To my mind it would be nice to be able to navigate downwards also without entering a search.
