GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 627773
Failed to import Japanese UTF-8 OFX file on Linux
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:43:39 UTC
Created attachment 168593 [details] Generic import transaction matcher window When we try to import Japanese UTF-8 OFX file, garbage characters are displayed at description and memo fields on Generic import transaction matcher windows. I can't attach OFX file right now because my personal information is contained. So I attach the import dialog image instead. This bug doesn't happen on Windows. We can import UTF-8 ofx file properly on Windows version of GnuCash. ---- OFX header ------ OFXHEADER:100 DATA:OFXSGML VERSION:102 SECURITY:NONE ENCODING:UTF-8 CHARSET:CSUNICODE COMPRESSION:NONE OLDFILEUID:NONE NEWFILEUID:NONE

This problem seems to be a bug of libofx. I filed an issue and a patch as libofx bug#3059200. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3059200&group_id=61170&atid=496353
A patch is commited into libofx CVS repository.
