Description Paul Cutler 2010-08-22 20:05:26 UTC
Similar to http://website-editors.gnome.org/ that we are using to test the Plone instance of the new gnome.org, we would like to evaluate Wordpress as a possible CMS for the new gnome.org.

The test code is in the gnomeweb-wp git repository (http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-wp/). We need the sub-domain and Apache configuration updated to pull from this git repo. Jeff Schroeder has created the MySQL database already.

DNS entry 'wptest.gnome.org' has been added (CNAME to socket).

VirtualHost configuration added, pointing to /srv/wptest.gnome.org/html.

Required installation of php5 and php5-mysql packages.

http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-wp/ has been checked out into the document root.

Waiting on database connection information from Jeff.

site is now available.

database created on socket (for now).

if/when decision is made to move to production, the plan is to mysqldump the database and import on drawable.

user 'pcutler' created as admin. Will invite initial users/testers.

closing ticket as fixed.
