Problem discription:

Version: 1.7.4

When i import (ctrl+alt+i) mp3's from a folder that contains mp3's already in banshee. Some of the mp3's or album are duplicated.

example: a folder containing an album of 20 songs. if i reimport this folder on the master folder named music, i get each time a new entry for several songs randomly or a new album entry containing for example song number 3 or more.

Each time i do an import a get a new entry 10 imports= 10 duplicates for each mp3.

The files have the same names (checked case caps). This problem was not there in Banshee 1.6.8

I have deleted all files from banshee and imported from a new folder but it is still the same.

I apologize for the delay in addressing this bug report. However I believe we fixed this already. This sounds like a duplicate of bgo#623441 which was fixed with this commit:

http://git.gnome.org/browse/banshee/commit/?id=aa40b95bf04ce2c89be391d34c19aec0850bba1e

Please retest using 1.9.0 or any later release, if this problem persists you are encouraged to reopen this bug report and attach a debug log which can be obtained by running:

banshee-1 --debug ---redirect-log

then reproduce the specific steps required to trigger your problem, exit Banshee and attach the resulting ~/.config/banshee-1/log file to the report.
