Binary package hint: rhythmbox

device: creative visio m
Rhythmbox version: 0.12.8-0ubuntu3
Ubuntu 10.04 64bit

Rhythmbox does not transfer cover art to the device (it is visible in rhythmbox), even not for songs purchased from the ubuntu one music store.
perhaps mp3-cd-covers are in mp3tag (included in the mp3 file with easytag)
cover art transfert to mtp works fine with banshee player

Works fine for me. You will need to do more investigation yourself. Start by running 'rhythmbox -D mtp' in a terminal and transferring a few files that include cover art.

terminal mtpcover result
Comment 4 mat 2010-08-22 09:43:39 UTC
ok, I launch rhythmbox with 'rhythmbox -D mtp'
and plug my creative zen after.
I transfered album 'dreamcatcher" (artist : andy mc kee) : the cover is present in the folder (name : cover.jpg) and in mp3tag.
you can see in attachment the result in terminal
Comment 5 Jonathan Matthew 2010-08-22 09:47:33 UTC
Do you have the cover art plugin enabled?
Comment 6 mat 2010-08-22 11:31:21 UTC
yes, I have (the plugin write by James Livingston).
and mtp plugin write by Peter Grundström

Covers appear in the rythymbox player (and in docky ;-)
