Description Al Heynneman 2010-08-15 22:55:10 UTC
Sometimes, when I use the "Send Link" option in Firefox, Evolution's new email message window shows the URL as plain text, instead of an underlined link. However, adding and deleting a space character in front of the URL, or changing .htm to .html and then back again to .htm also fixes the problem, and it correctly shows as a clickable URL link.

I see a worse problem. When I use the "Send Link" option in Firfox (including today's 3.6.11) I get something like:

h
ttp://rest of URL

Not sure if this is evolution's or FF's problem.

Does anybody still see this problem in recent versions of Evolution / Firefox?
Comment 5 David Ronis 2012-08-14 18:19:54 UTC
It happens far less often, but I did see it in the git/master a day or so ago.
Comment 6 Al Heynneman 2012-10-15 15:17:47 UTC
Yes, it still occurs.
Comment 7 André Klapper 2017-02-09 13:41:39 UTC
GtkHtml is not under active development anymore.
Evolution (its main consumer) switched to a WebKit backend a while ago.
It is currently unlikely that there will be any further GtkHtml development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 778387) to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
