Description Christoph Anton Mitterer 2010-08-13 23:32:46 UTC
Hi.

gucharmap allows selecting a font.

But even when a special font is selected,.. characters not in this font a simply used by other fonts.

This is rather unlogical and doesn't allow one to really see what a font provides.

I suggest, that when a font is selected, only the glyphs it actually has should be shown.
There can be an additional mode where no font is selected,.. and where gucharmap simply tries to collect as much characters from different fonts as possible.

Cheers,
Chris.

gucharmap is not a fontviewer, there are other tools for this job. I can imagine a WONTFIX as to me it's rather logical to fall back to other fonts in order to display a glyph at all.

Well but then it makes not much sense to have a font/mode selectable at all?!
