Description Paul Nielsen 2010-08-12 18:54:15 UTC
The version gnumeric-1.10.6-20100616.exe for Windows, which I think was built by Morten Welinder, works fine on Win2K, but his new version gnumeric-1.10.8-20100730.exe again doesn't work on Win2K, for the same reasons as described earlier.

Could all recent versions build by Morten Welinder be kept in his web folder http://people.gnome.org/~mortenw/gnumeric/ as has been done by Jody Goldberg in http://people.gnome.org/~jody/gnumeric/win32/ ?

Would it be possible to describe somewhere the difficult recompilation for windows in enough detail that someone other than a developer could do it?

Apologies in advance if I should have added this comment to bug 610502.

Thanks

We really only need one bug with respect to freeaddrinfo.
Comment 3 Morten Welinder 2010-08-12 19:50:04 UTC
In order to keep things simple, I remove all old versions when I have to
update the offsite-source tarball.
Comment 4 Morten Welinder 2011-02-08 21:10:08 UTC
What is the status of the current builds?

I *think* it should work, but I am unable to test.

Sorry, I should have responded earlier--no news it good news!

I have been using versions 1.10.10, 1.10.11, and 1.10.12 since they each were released, and I just checked 1.10.13 which also works on Win2K in a quick test on a multiple tab spreadsheet.

Thanks for fixing this.
Comment 6 Tom Asbury 2011-02-10 15:25:31 UTC
Yes, 1.10.13 does install and work on wini nt2k.

Thank you very much.
