GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 626746
Account Type Scroll Fails To Return
Last modified: 2010-10-16 01:51:34 UTC
this report has been filed here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/615256 "1. Open empathy either from the Envelope on the task bar or from Applications->Internet->Empathy. 2. On initial start up you are presented with the basic account creator. This can only be be used to create accounts that only use username and password. 3. Select one of the account types, most common of these are msn, gmail and jabber. 4. Once selected type in your username and password for the account. 5. You can go on to create extra accounts at this point or close the account creator. Action-3 Failed: During a new account creation, after I scrolled down to the bottom of available account types, I was unable to scroll back to the top. Canceling out allowed me to re-select the account types listed toward the top. This is only a problem is if the window size is such that the scroll is actually enabled. All Other Account Creations Tests Passed." "I was using VBOX and had the entire desktop rather small, and with the application open, under Enter Your Account Details >> What Type of Account do you have: (Gmail, yahoo, Facebook, etc). When the Pull-Down list opened, I needed to cursor down to Yahoo, as that was the type of account I was setting up. After scrolling down to the bottom of the list, The Up-Arrow that allows me to cursor back up disappeared. Only way to get back to the top of the list was to close the Enter Your Account Details, and go back into Create a New Account. It's not something allot people are going to have trouble with, as usually they will have a large enough screen to where the Up/Down arrows wont even appear when your selecting the account type." Thanks,
I don't understand this report. Can you be more specific and/or attach a screenshot?
