Description mahfiaz 2010-08-09 20:00:04 UTC
It would be nice if nautilus provided a way to open new window with specific file selected, with command similar to "nautilus --file-selected /home/user/file.txt"

This would be useful for other applications, which provide "Open in folder" or other similar buttons, such as Shotwell, Firefox or others.

This is not a duplicate of the other bug. That bug populates nautilus's copy or move buffer. This bug opens a new nautilus window with an entry selected.

Both bugs are taken care of with 498506, however you want to look at it (this being dupes of that, that being a dupe of these). But 498506 has patches and discussion and everyone CC'd.
