I have Windows 7 x64 and Gimp 2.7.1. Step to reproduce crash:
1. start Gimp
2. New image
3. select text tool
4. click on image -> crash

Then window that pop up reads as follows:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. [Ok]

And in the Debug window it says:
Gdk:Error:gdkc-win32.c:751:get_impl_drawable: code should ne be reached


Please fix this, or I can't use Gimp. Nice tool, though.
