Description Alexander Konovalenko 2010-08-04 10:44:18 UTC
When establishing a DSL connection, Network Manager always adds a nodeflate option to the pppd command line. The "Allow Deflate data compression" checkbox currently has no effect.

Network Manager should respect the user setting instead of using a hard-coded nodeflate option. If that is not possible, or until a proper fix can be implemented, the UI checkbox should be removed or grayed out for DSL connections to reduce confusion.

I'm using NetworkManager 0.8 with GNOME nm-applet under Ubuntu 10.04.
