the sample video[1] never leaves preroll when its played in totem or with playbin2, cursory inspection reveals these messages in abundance with *:2

Looks like the audio data is all 00, so there is not much to play there.

Maybe some playbin2 magic some day ...

hm, there is audio for this thing somewhere though; it plays in mplayer

ahhhh, but it is very broke; no matter where i seek it starts the audio stream at the beginning again; i'll see if i can try it with mediaplayer classic later.

ok; later was sooner than expected, in this particular file if i seek or start anywhere after a minute 30, audio works perfectly, its definitely a broken file
