Alt+Tab: Select application by typing the first letter of its name
Last modified: 2013-08-16 16:36:21 UTC
I've just got the thought that I'd be pretty cool if in the Alt+Tab dialogue I could just type the first letter of an application to select it. The usage would be something like: hold down alt, press tab, press the first letter of the application's name, release the alt key. If there is more than one application name starting with the same letter, pressing the same key again would move the selection to the next one. What do you think?
Hey, sorry we didn't catch this sooner! We already have that behaviour when searching from the application overview, which also allows you to launch if the app isn't running. That seems like a better solution, so I wouldn't like to have a sub-standard alternative elsewhere. Nice idea though. Thanks for the suggestion.
