GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 625043
Variable Scales
Last modified: 2011-11-28 19:53:00 UTC
I display Processor, Memory, Network and System Load in my desktop Panel. The small CPU display is always scaled to 100%, which makes it very easy to use as a convenient estimate of CPU load. The scale of the Network display, though, keeps changing, making it impossible to interpret at a glance. (Mouseover is required.) It would be much more convenient if the user could set a sticky maximum Network History scale in the Preferences. Also, I notice that the Panel display for Memory is not the same as the Memory and Swap History display in the main window. In the Panel, Cache is stacked on top of programs. In the main window, Memory and Swap space are superimposed, much like the multiple CPU display. Please make the displays consistent.
Thanks for the bug report. The first issue you have mentioned has already been reported into our bug tracking system as bug 590107, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. Regarding the second issue: the issue is the inconsistency between gnome-applets multiload applet (the applet from the panel) and system monitor, however, gnome-applets are not used anymore in GNOME 3.x. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 590107 ***
