Description Sense Hofstede 2010-07-22 09:22:18 UTC
The 'video-subtitles' project aims to provide subtitles for as many of the GNOME related videos it can. It is hosted at <http://git.gnome.org/browse/video-subtitles> and more information can be found at <http://live.gnome.org/VideoSubtitles>.
Subtitles make it possible for people with hearing problems or a lower proficiency in English (or other languages used) to understand the videos still.

In order to facilitate discussion and provide a general place for talk I would like to request a mailing list. This list would probably be low-traffic, but it would nevertheless make it possible for people to reach everyone involved or interested in the project.

Sense -

My apologies for not addressing your mailing list request[1] regarding
the video-subtitles-list in a timely manner. I am in the process of
taking care of the GNOME sysadmin ticket queue. I'm simply wondering
if you still feel a need for the video-subtitles-list that you
requested about a month ago.

If you still feel the project would benefit from a mailing list, I'd
be happy to create it for you. If not, we'll close the ticket.

Again, I regret not being able to get to your ticket sooner,

Christer

Hello,

Apologies for my long delay in answering your reply. I have been very
busy the last few weeks and wasn't able to respond to all matters.
This must have slipped through the maze and was forgotten.

I don't think that the mailing list is necessary anymore considering
the small size of the project. Good to ask me again, because I now
think that I shouldn't have asked about this in the first place. It
may seem a good idea to have a mailing list, but it is useless if
there is no one to talk with.
