I have the same problem under openSUSE 11.3 with nouveau driver
Comment 2 Andreas Røsdal 2010-07-17 08:11:31 UTC
Yes, this problem only occurs using the nouveau drivers, not the closed-source Nividia drivers.

JFYI: I've also broken gnibbles

I'm using intel driver with the card VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller ; And I'm having exactly the same issue, swell foop isn't playable at all.

Clutter and nouveau compatibility has long since been addressed by the nouveau developers.
