Description naesk 2010-07-02 23:51:37 UTC
When chatting in an IRC channel there doesn't appear to be any support for the "/away" command, so as to announce to other users in the channel that one is away (whether this be away from the current channel to chat elsewhere such as another channel, or other protocol, or whether one is away globally).
Comment 1 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-07-05 09:09:00 UTC
I'd make it global as we don't properly support per account presence atm.
Comment 2 naesk 2010-07-06 02:40:26 UTC
Thanks for the response, much appreciated :)

Eventually it would be nice to see this implemented on a per account basis, in the meantime global would be good.
Comment 3 Xavier Claessens 2010-07-06 08:00:19 UTC
Note that telepathy-idle does not support presence at all, so for IRC that won't work anyway.
