Sometime if I using any Orca command or press simple the capslock key, the capslock state is changed
Last modified: 2010-08-02 05:06:38 UTC
Dear Developers, I using Orca with laptop layout. When I using some time any Orca commands, or press simple the capslock key, the caps lock key state is changed, but Orca not spoken the state change (capslock on or capslock off). I tryed make a debug.out file, but if I run orca --replace --debug-file=debug.out command, I can not reproducable this issue. If I restart Orca with orca --replace command, and for example in main window I press the simple capslock key, the caps lock state is changed if I try press for example after the capslock key press a letter. For example, I press the caps lock key, and after the caps lock release I hear uppercase A letter if I press a key. Some time, if the caps lock state is changed, unable to switch prewious state. Only help if I quit Orca and turn off the caps lock key without Orca running. In 2010. june, Storm Dragon wroted very similar problem in Orca Mailing List, the mail subject is Capslock turning on and off when used as Orca Modifier. I using latest Orca git master version now. I'm not sure if we'll be able to reproduce this or not. But since we're looking at keyboard and modifier issues for GNOME 3.0, I'm adding this one into the mix....
Attila, are you still seeing this issue? Whilst I was adding the ability to toggle the state of Caps Lock, I also wound up changing some related code. I'm not seeing the issue. I am hoping you are not as well. Please let me know. Thanks!
No, I can not see now this issue with Ubuntu Lucid and yesterday revision of Orca master version. If you want, I change this bug status with resolved. Possible new capslock switch fmode solwing this issue, so, this issue can not reproducable now. Attila
Thanks for the confirmation Attila.
