Description André Klapper 2010-06-27 11:22:45 UTC
For GLib 2.25.5 GDBus D-Bus support was merged, providing an API to replace dbus-glib.

See http://library.gnome.org/devel/gio/unstable/gdbus.html and http://library.gnome.org/devel/gio/unstable/ch28.html .

According to a quick grep this module seems to use dbus-glib:

./empathy/configure.ac: dbus-glib-1

As said on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28782 telepathy-glib needs to be ported to GDBus first.

Hi, now that https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28782 is fixed, is there any plans to work on this?

It was fixed for telepathy-glib-0.99.10. That is the series that will eventually become part of the Telepathy 1.0 release, which has not happened, yet, and as far as I know, nobody is actively working on 1.0 at the moment.

Not unless we start actively working on 1.0, I guess.
