scrollbar buttons let GIMP 2.6.9 crash

On my desktop PC, scrollbars of lists that appear in the tool interface are not working. The affected scrollbars appear in e.g. font selection, gradient style selection. 

The horizontal and vertical scrollbar siders have no effect, the list simply closes. 

The scrollbar buttons (up/down/left/right) always let GIMP crash to Desktop immediately. 

I reverted back to 2.6.8 where the scrollbars are functional again.

P.S. I think it's important because there happens to be an GUI area you must not touch or your work might be gone!

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
