Description andre.pietsch 2010-06-25 07:20:16 UTC
I use Evolution 2.28.3 on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, with the MAPI plugin against an Exchange server.

Evolution does not show the from address from mails in the inbox view, that were in the inbox before the first start of evolution.

After the inbox has been synced once, from addresses from subsequently received mails are shown.

Using the version from ppa:jacob/evo230 without clearing the profile does not help. Clearing the profile was not tested.

Oh, I didn't get this part from your email in the evolution-list. It may be useful in this case to clear the cache before using newer version, as it is fetching the summary completely fresh, with possible fixes. Though if the issue is with sender details storing type/property or something, then it's a question whether it'll help. Note already downloaded summary is not refreshed, because there is usually no need for it.

Anyway, please give it a try with 2.30.x (what is the 'x', please?) with cleared local cache in ~/.evolution/mail/mapi/<account> , just in case it was fixed for you in 2.30.x. Thanks in advance.

Ahh!

That helped. Sorry, fixed already and working.

And guess what: The problem with the incorrectly displayed mails vanished, too!

Let me add that it works in 2.30.2. Current 2.28 in Ubuntu 10.04 does not work.

Good, thanks for the update.
