I am forwarding this bug from downstream https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/596346

F spot is unable to rotate a .raf file, an example file is attached to the linked bug report.

to reproduce:
1. open f-spot with the picture
2. Edit>rotate left (or right)
3. error message comes up.
